Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever started off their 2025 WNBA regular season schedule with a bang. In a highly-anticipated matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, the Fever dominated and came through with a blowout win.

When all was said and done, the final score was 93-58.

Late in the fourth quarter, DeWanna Bonner scored to take over as the No. 3 top scorer in WNBA history. It was a milestone that Clark and the rest of the Indiana players wanted to make sure that she reached during that game.

That was very apparent when cameras picked up Clark urging her teammates to get Bonner a bucket late in the game. She didn't score a field goal, but she drew a foul on a shot and made both of her free throws to move up the record books.

"Hey, let's get a basket for DB right now," Clark said, as she was mic'd up. "Come on, we're getting DB into third place right now."

Clark may be one of the best players of all-time when it comes to women's basketball, but she's also an elite teammate. That is the kind of leadership that makes teams special.

During her season debut to begin year two, Clark put together a triple-double performance. She scored 20 points on 6-for-13 shooting and 4-for-8 from the 3-point line to go along with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, four blocks, and two steals.

In every single aspect of the game, Clark dominated.

Should the Fever be able to keep up the level of play they showed in the season opener, they are going to be very dangerous. Clark is expected to be a top-tier WNBA MVP contender and many think Indiana could be a championship contender as well.
