In just a few days, Unrivaled, a pioneering 3-on-3 women's professional basketball league, is set to open its curtains in Miami, Florida.
A handful of WNBA stars, including co-founders Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, will suit up in the inaugural season, which will tip off on January 17.
For her part, Cameron Brink of the Los Angeles Sparks signed a multi-year deal with the Lunar Owls in December, joining the squad as a wildcard entry. While she will sit out the first season due to her torn ACL, she is thrilled to play in Unrivaled in 2026.
Despite her injury, she revealed that she will still go to Florida to show her support for the groundbreaking league and get some training as well.
"Obviously I won't be playing, but I will be supporting full-fledged," said the Sparks rookie in a report from People's Skyler Caruso. "I think it's just going to be a really cool opportunity.
"Iron sharpens iron, so while I'm there, I'll be able to train with people and work on my game."
On a more personal level, the 23-year-old Brink said her fiance, Ben Felter, could join her in Florida.
"I know my teammates that will be there love Ben because he's the best, so it'll be fun to have all my people together," added Brink.
She and Felter got engaged in Paris in September.
Also part of the Owls are Collier, her Lynx teammate Courtney Williams, Skylar Diggins-Smith of the Seattle Storm, Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream and Shakira Austin of the Washington Mystics.
