The Chicago Sky carried a 3-9 record during the 2025 WNBA season into Sunday's contest against the 9-4 Atlanta Dream.
Atlanta added nine-time All-Star center Brittney Griner this offseason after she spent the first 11 years of her career with the Phoenix Mercury.
While Griner has been primarily guarding second-year center Kamilla Cardoso during the contest, she also faced off against 2024 WNBA All-Star forward Angel Reese, who is averaging 10.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game in 2025.
Despite lining up against a decorated player like Griner and the rest of the Dream's front court, both Reese and Cardoso have put together strong performances.
Reese had 10 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block through the game's first three quarters. Cardoso also chipped in seven points, five rebounds, three assists and a block.
Late in the third quarter, Reese weaved her way through the Atlanta defense and drove to the paint against Nia Coffey. While in the post, she spun toward Griner and scored around both her and Coffey.
The Sky posted this highlight on their social media and had two simple words for their second-year forward.
"ANGEL 2," the Sky wrote.

Atkins led the way for Chicago through three quarters, scoring 23 points and adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Veteran forward Elizabeth Williams also recorded 14 points and three rebounds before the fourth quarter began.
With a win, the Sky will move to 10th place in the WNBA standings, surpassing the Los Angeles Sparks. With a loss, they run the risk of dropping to 12th in the coming days.
