Chicago Sky Make Exciting Announcement on Monday

The Chicago Sky became a prominent franchise in the WNBA last season after drafting a young duo of stars in Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. Both of these players began their ascent to fame at the college level, winning National Championships at LSU and South Carolina, respectively.

As rookies, the two took the league by storm awith their ability to rebound the basketball and score inside. They also contributed the second and fourth most points for the Sky, and while they still fell short of the playoffs, these two proved that they will be incredible building blocks for the organization under new head coach Tyler Marsh.

Their sophomore campaigns are just around the corner as the WNBA season begins on May 17 with a matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. However, the WNBA Draft is on April 14, so a few new players will be thrown into the fold for each team before the Sky take the court next month.

After such a successful draft haul last season, the Chicago Sky and their fan base are thrilled to see what kind of talent they can add to the roster this year. The team made an exciting announcement on Monday, as fans can enter a sweepstakes for an autographed Sky jersey if they predict who the team will select at No. 10.

After owning the No. 3 overall pick at the beginning of the offseason, the franchise made a series of trades that resulted in them moving back seven spots. Still, there should be a handful of great players available, like TCU's Hailey Van Lith or Serena Sundell from Kansas State. One lucky fan will get both a great player to support and a signed piece of memorabilia from their favorite franchise.
