The Chicago Sky entered the 2025 WNBA All-Star break with a 7-15 record. The team has won four of its last nine games after a 3-10 start, but they still rank 12th in the league in points per game, as well as 10th in points allowed (via Pro Basketball Reference).

Two-time All-Star forward Angel Reese has led the way for Chicago, contributing a career-high 14.0 points and 3.8 assists, as well as a league-best 12.6 rebounds per night. She has 15 double-doubles this season to pace the Sky.

However, starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot suffered a season-ending knee injury early in the year. Veteran guard Ariel Atkins, who is second on the team in scoring at 13.9 points per game, and starting forward Michaela Onyenwere are both currently out as well.

On Tuesday, the Sky resume regular season play against the 20-4 Minnesota Lynx. Due to having three players out with an injury, their roster currently stands at nine players, meaning they qualify for a hardship contract.

Before the Lynx game, the team signed second-year guard Marquesha Davis to a seven-day hardship contract. Davis won the 2024 WNBA championship with the New York Liberty last season as a rookie.

"ROSTER UPDATE: The Chicago Sky has signed guard Marquesha Davis to a seven-day hardship contract," the Sky wrote. "Welcome to Skytown! "

Davis played in 20 games last year for the Liberty, contributing 1.2 points and 0.5 rebounds in 4.0 minutes per night. This season, she played nine games in New York before being waived. She had been averaging just 0.9 points and 0.6 rebounds per contest.

Tuesday's game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. ET at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
