Jeffrey Becker

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever open up their 2025 WNBA regular season this afternoon. Fans have been waiting to see the season tip off for Clark against her rival, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.

Ahead of year two, there are a lot of questions swirling about Clark and the Fever. Will she take another leap in her second season? Can she win the MVP and lead Indiana to the WNBA Finals?

Everything begins with game one. The Fever and Sky will tip off at 3:00 p.m. on ABC.

Prior to Indiana playing its first game of the season, Colin Cowherd spoke out with a bold message about Clark. He sent that message during a segment on "The Herd."

"'Colin, I was watching the WNBA long before Caitlin Clark.' Well yeah, it's not my problem your social life was boring," he said.

There is no question that Clark has taken the WNBA to the next level. She has completely changed the view of fans towards women's basketball and has continued improving the fan base of the WNBA since she was drafted.

During her rookie season, Clark did not disappoint. She lived up to all the hype and then some.

Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 41.7% from the floor and 34.4% from the 3-point line. Behind those numbers, she won the Rookie of the Year award and also broke many different records.

Not only did Clark have a big individual season, she also led the Fever to the playoffs.

Entering the 2025 season, Clark has bigger goals in mind. A championship is her ultimate goal and the race to reach that goal begins against Chicago.
