The Connecticut Suns have made it to the WNBA Finals four seasons since their franchise's inception in 1999 as the Orlando Miracle.
The Sun lost to Napheesa Collier's Minnesota Lynx during the WNBA Semifinals last time, sending a message to the team's fans that the franchise is serious about competing for championships.
The Sun are scheduled to take on the Washington Mystics this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, and are expected to do so in front of a packed house at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Montville, Connecticut.
On Wednesday, the Sun announced historic news as they prepared to begin the 2025 WNBA season.
"The Connecticut Sun officially sold out their season ticket memberships for the 2026 season," reporter Meghan L. Hall wrote on X.

"I've been going to Sun games for almost 20 years," one fan said.
"Crowds have always been strong. The sad thing is that they do a terrible job of marketing," one fan said.
The Sun have gone 1-1 during the exhibition season one year removed from a 28-12 regular season, which marked the third best record in the WNBA behind the Lynx and New York Liberty.
The Sun were equally good both home and away as they boasted a 14-6 record on the road and at home.
The team's 6.5 points per game differential was second in the league behind the eventual WNBA Champion Liberty, a positive sign heading into the 2025 season.
