Caitlin Clark is already making noise ahead of her debut in the 2025 WNBA season. The Indiana Fever's star guard comes from a season in which she had to adapt to the pace of the league on the go.
With a full offseason, training camp and preseason under her belt, the former No. 1 overall pick is set to dominate the competition.
The season opener is a much-anticipated duel against the Angel Reese-led Chicago Sky, a team Clark faced four times and beat on three occasions in 2024. This appears to be a brewing rivalry and the fans are hyped up to see their favorite player clash against the Sky's forward.
Tip-off is set at 3:00 p.m. ET, but fans have already arrived at the team's store to show support for Clark and the Fever.
Barstool's Dave Portnoy shared a picture of many fans wearing Clark's jersey waiting outside the Fever's store six hours before tip-off.
There is a line for Caitlin Clark merch around the corner at 9am. An hour before the team store opens. 6 hours before tip off. There has never been anybody like Caitlin Clark. pic.twitter.com/U5aW6nx0eG

Many others reacted on social media, raving about Clark's impact on the game in only one year as a professional.
"What Michael Jordan did for the NBA is the only comparison," one fan said.
"Michael Jordan the last person who moved fans like this," another fan said.
"Made me actually tune into WNBA," a third fan wrote.
"Clark’s impact is unmatched," a fourth fan added.
"Waiting in line for CC merch while already wearing CC merch >>>," a fifth fan said.
"The league better hope she stays healthy - all boats rise on her talent," a sixth fan added.
Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell welcomed new faces during the 2025 WNBA offseason. The Fever now look like a potential championship contender and a lot of eyes will be on them from the first game of the season.
Many factors make this duel special. Clark and Reese have clashed before, but fans are always excited about their battles. This will be the second duel of a three-game slate scheduled for Saturday.
