Dallas Wings Announce Big News Ahead of Matchup Against Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever

After being ruled day-to-day with a groin injury, Caitlin Clark is set to miss the Indiana Fever’s Thursday night matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks—raising major concerns about her availability for Friday’s game against the Dallas Wings.

Anticipation for the Friday matchup is sky-high, driven by the potential showdown between Clark and Wings rookie Paige Bueckers—their first meeting since their standout college days at Iowa and UConn.

On Thursday morning, just over 24 hours before tipoff, the Wings announced major news: their game against the Fever at American Airlines Center—which seats approximately 20,000—has officially sold out.

Dallas hasn’t had the start to the season they were hoping for, currently sitting at 4-12 overall. However, rookie Paige Bueckers has been a bright spot and nothing short of remarkable.

The former UConn national champion is averaging 17.7 points, 5.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 45.7% from the field, 30.8% from three-point range, and 85.1% from the free-throw line.

Still, the biggest question surrounding Friday’s matchup is whether Caitlin Clark will suit up. With the game already sold out, many fans undoubtedly purchased tickets with the anticipation of witnessing the highly anticipated Clark vs. Bueckers showdown.
