Dallas Wings Find the Right Words for Paige Bueckers’ All-Star Honor

The Dallas Wings have struggled to find consistency in the early stages of the 2025 WNBA season. They currently have a 5-13 record, placing them last in the Western Conference.

Despite the record, the Wings have shown flashes of cohesion, winning four of their last six games, including a 79‑71 victory over the Washington Mystics on Saturday.

At the center of Dallas’s rebuilding effort is Paige Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft out of UConn.

In her rookie season, Bueckers has averaged 18.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game over 13 contests, pacing the team in scoring, assists and steals.

On Monday, her efforts were rewarded when the WNBA announced that Bueckers would be one of the 10 starters in the 2025 AT&T WNBA All‑Star Game.

The Wings were quick to show their support for Dallas' newest star, celebrating her achievement with the simple message, "One of one ⭐️."

Last season at UConn, Bueckers averaged 19.9 points, 4.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game as a senior, leading the Huskies to an 18-0 Big East slate and the program’s 12th national title.

Her combination of elite playmaking and scoring prowess made her the first freshman ever to win the AP Player of the Year award in 2021, and cemented her as one of the most decorated prospects to enter the WNBA.

Somehow, she's already lived up to the hype.

While the Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx's Napheesa Collier earned captain roles by leading in fan votes, Bueckers’s placement among the final ten attests to broad support for her all‑around game

The 2025 AT&T WNBA All‑Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, marking the Fever’s first time hosting the midsummer showcase.
