The Dallas Wings will face the Phoenix Mercury in their 19th game of the season on Thursday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Dallas is planning to add another player to its roster heading into its next regular-season game, according to reporter Joey Mistretta . Mistretta noted he obtained the information from executive vice president and general manager Curt Miller.
The Wings have been playing without guard Ty Harris, who is out for the season with a left knee injury, and forward Maddy Siegrist. Siegrist is sidelined with an anterolateral tibial fracture. She will not need to undergo surgery and will return at some point during the season.
With both players out, signing a possible free agent could help Dallas fill the gaps in its roster. They could sign a forward to play alongside Myisha Hines-Allen.

Hines-Allen is in the middle of her first season in Dallas and has been averaging 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in 18 appearances. Another potential choice would be to acquire a guard to play alongside rookie Paige Bueckers and veteran DiJonai Carrington.
Bueckers, 23, has been averaging 18.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. She missed the Wings' last game against the Washington Mystics with a knee injury.
Without Bueckers, Dallas defeated Washington 79-71 on Saturday. Meanwhile, Carrington has been averaging 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in her fifth season in the league.
The Wings-Mercury game will tip off Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
