The Dallas Wings fell just short in a 91-88 overtime loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday night, dropping their record to 3-12 on the young season.

Rookie guard Paige Bueckers tied the game at 84-84 with a deep three in the final seconds of regulation, notching 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, before ultimately losing out in extra time.

Entering Monday, the Wings sit last in the Western Conference, a stark contrast to the 12-1 Minnesota Lynx at the top of the table.

Yet, amid the team’s struggles, Bueckers has emerged as a bright spot.

Through 11 games, she is one of only two guards in the entire league, alongside the Atlanta Dream's Allisha Gray, averaging at least 18 points per game while shooting above 46% from the field.

The Wings' social media team shared this feat on Monday while encouraging fans to vote Bueckers into the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game on July 19.

In her debut season, Bueckers has already celebrated multiple milestones.

She recorded her first double-double (12 points, 10 assists) in just her third career game, had a season-high 35-point outing in her return from injury on June 11 and has more 20-point games this season than all other rookies combined.

Her 18.2 points, 5.9 assists, 2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game all lead the Wings, and she is also contributing 4.5 rebounds per contest, ranking among the top rookies in every major category.

By all accounts, she's already the clear favorite for Rookie of the Year.

With less than one month to go before the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, fan voting is in full swing.

The WNBA revealed on Friday that Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx were leading early returns; however, Bueckers’ hot start has put her firmly in the conversation for a first All-Star selection if fans come through.
