The Atlanta Dream captured their first win of the 2025 WNBA season Tuesday night. The Dream social media team was prepared for the occasion.
Atlanta trolled the team it beat, the Indiana Fever, with a post on X after the matchup. The Dream edged the Fever, 91-90.
"Fever caught a little cold ... DREAM WIN!!" The post read with three fire emojis.
The post also reminded fans that it won't be long until fans get a rematch between the two clubs. The Dream will host the Fever on Thursday night at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.
It will be the team's home opener.
The superstars for the Dream and Fever shined Tuesday night, but Atlanta forward Brittney Griner led her team to the victory over Indiana and star guard Caitlin Clark. Griner led the Dream with 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds with two assists.
With her eight rebounds, Griner moved into 20th place on the WNBA's all-time rebounding list.

Clark shined as well, posting a game-high 27 points and 11 assists. Clark now has the most 25-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history.

The Fever had possession in the final 10 seconds of the fourth quarter, but a defensive stop from the Dream preserved Atlanta's one-point lead.
Atlanta improved to 1-1 during the 2025 regular season with the victory. The Dream lost 94-90 to the Washington Mystics in their season opener Friday night.
The Fever are also 1-1. Indiana defeated the Chicago Sky, 93-58, in their season opener Saturday.
Thursday night will be the second of four matchups between the Dream and Fever this season. The two teams will meet again on June 10 and July 11.
