After an incredible first season in the WNBA that saw her win Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark is poised to have another big campaign. In fact, ESPN sees the 23-year-old star thriving despite some expected decreases in her production amid the Indiana Fever's overall roster improvements.
In 2024, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks per game. While she led the league in turnovers with 5.6 per contest, she more than made up for it with her overall production.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes star had a total of 334 assists, which is both a rookie record and a league record in a single season.
As a result of her sensational year, Clark was also named to the All-WNBA first team, the first rookie to do so since Candace Parker in 2008.
Now, for the 2025 season, ESPN predicts an increase in Clark's scoring and an improvement in her shooting percentage, along with a decrease in her assist rate—albeit not significantly.
ESPN has Clark averaging 20.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.6 blocks and 5.2 turnovers.
"Clark could cede some work to newcomers Natasha Howard, DeWanna Bonner and Sophie Cunningham in 2025, but she should flourish in an improved offense that still has Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston," the ESPN fantasy projections report noted.
"Clark was a top-tier fantasy contributor last year and still has room to grow, making her a strong choice at the top of fantasy drafts."
Sure enough, it will be interesting to see how Caitlin Clark will actually perform in 2025. However, there is reason to believe that she will have another big year.
Clark focused on strengthening her body during the offseason, resulting in a more muscular physique. Now, she appears to be more prepared for the physicality in the league.
In her 2025 preseason debut against the Brazil women's national team, Clark tallied 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and one block in just 19 minutes of action.
