Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu and Paige Bueckers have already played one game each this 2025 WNBA season, and so far, the Indiana Fever star has outplayed both.

Clark was sensational in the Fever's 93-58 blowout of the Chicago Sky in the season opener, finishing with a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, along with two steals and four blocks.

The WNBA All-Star even made history, tying Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in league history with three. She also became the fastest WNBA player ever to record that many triple-doubles, needing only 41 games to do so.

Meanwhile, Ionescu had a rather rough day in the New York Liberty's 92-78 win over the Las Vegas Aces in their first game of the campaign, recording eight points, seven rebounds and four assists while shooting 3-of-12 from the field.

Bueckers ended up in a similar situation as Ionescu, as the Dallas Wings rookie tallied 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while making just 30 percent of her shots (3-of-10) in their 99-84 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

Following those performances, ESPN released its WNBA fantasy rankings for the guard, forward and center positions. Unsurprisingly, Clark led all guards, while Ionescu was third. Bueckers, for her part, landed at No. 10.

Sure enough, fans were quick to react to Clark's ranking, with many showing their delight about her being the No. 1 guard.

"caitlin clark in her rightful spot," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Just make Clark the wnba logo already."

A supporter added, "Do you guys remember when you had people justifying CC not making the Olympic team and now after 1 short year she’s literally in MVP conversations lol."

It remains to be seen if Caitlin Clark will be able to maintain her WNBA fantasy ranking on ESPN, and whether or not Sabrina Ionescu and Paige Bueckers will be able to improve theirs. There's no denying, however, that Clark had a great start to her second pro season.
