Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend Connor McCaffrey have been in attendance at the Big Ten Tournament this week. But while fans love to see the Iowa couple almost anywhere, there was one thing they weren't thrilled about.
Clark and McCaffrey were at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday to see the Illinois-Maryland game. But judging by some of their behavior, they weren't exactly glued to the action.
Photos and videos of the two caught them looking at their phones during the game.
As you might expect, a number of people who roll their eyes at seeing young people constantly on their phones decided to give them a piece of their minds.

"They might as well be at their own house if they are on the phone the whole time," one user remarked.
"Just sad faces down in the phones this generation is cooked."
"The generation glued to phones. It's stupid."
"Waste of good seats. No interest in the game. Stupid phones."
However, one user pointed out that the two might have had an extremely good reason for checking their phones during the game: Connor's father had been dismissed as head coach of Iowa mere hours prior.
"You realize his dad was let go from Iowa after 15 years as head coach. You think maybe their phones were blowing up from people concerning that??" the user suggested.
If it's any consolation, the game didn't wind up being that interesting anyway. Maryland wiped the floor with Illinois, racing out to a 57-31 halftime lead that made the entire second half effectively meaningless.
The Terrapins went on to win 88-65 and secure a spot in the Big Ten semifinals.
That might have been a nice bit of revenge for them though as their beloved Iowa Hawkeyes were beaten by the Fighting Illini the day before.
