The Dallas Wings made a landscape-shifting move in the WNBA Draft when they selected Paige Bueckers as the first overall pick. There was never really much doubt that the former UConn superstar would be selected first overall, and the Wings made it official by calling the 23-year-old's name when it was their time at the podium.
The Wings are now set to make another official move surrounding Bueckers ahead of the upcoming season. This comes in the form of an introductory press conference alongside the team's other rookies.
The team made the exciting announcement via X on Monday.
"Let's meet the rookies " the Wings posted.
"Tune in for an introductory press conference with Paige Bueckers, Aziaha James, Madison Scott, JJ Quinerly, & Aaronette Vonleh."

As indicated in the post, the press conference is scheduled at 12 p.m. CT and will be live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
Apart from Bueckers, the media will also get the opportunity to speak with No. 12 pick Aziaha James, No. 14 pick Madison Scott, as well as third-round selections JJ Quinerly and Aaronette Vonleh.
There is no doubt, however, that the spotlight will be on Bueckers, who will be attending her first official press conference as a member of the Wings.
There's going to be considerable pressure on the 6-foot guard in her debut season in Dallas. The Wings were one of the worst teams in the league last year, finishing with a 9-31 record.
This team is also hoping to make it back to the WNBA Playoffs this season, and there's no denying that Bueckers will be at the center of their success in 2025.
