Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever are without Caitlin Clark for the second night of a back-to-back, hitting the road to face Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Friday night.

Clark suffered a groin injury in Tuesday's win over the Seattle Storm, forcing her to miss Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The Fever fell to 2-4 without their All-WNBA point guard, including the five games she missed from late May to early June.

Ahead of the Wings matchup, White discussed Clark's injury, admitting to prioritizing the former Iowa star's "long-term health."

“We found out this morning that we probably need to hold out again today," White said. "It really is a day-to-day thing, and I think for us, making sure that we’re prioritizing her long-term health and wellness. Anybody who's had some of these types of injuries understands that sometimes it's a process."

White also ensured that Clark is a "quick healer."

"She's a quick healer," White continued. "And she's been doing everything she can to get back on the floor. We just wanna make sure we’re hypersensitive to the big picture.”

The former Connecticut Sun coach was then asked if Clark went through a "trial run" before the game.

"I'm sure she did some stuff with her athletic training staff," White added. "I defer to them when it comes to medically related questions, and then I do as I'm told."

Clark still made the trip to Dallas to support her teammates, showing up to a heavy Fever crowd despite her absence. Following Friday's game, Indiana will take on the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday, giving their guard some time to rest.
