The Indiana Fever’s 2025 season was a roller coaster, but they managed to reach the semifinals, pushing the Las Vegas Aces—just one win away from a championship—to the brink.

Injuries played a major role all season, most notably for Caitlin Clark, who appeared in only 13 games and missed the playoffs after suffering a season-ending groin injury before the All-Star break.

Despite the challenges, the team persevered. Now, as the offseason begins, several impending free agents have shared parting messages, potentially signaling their departure from the organization.

One of them is veteran guard Sydney Colson, who signed a one-year deal in February and is currently rehabbing a torn ACL at 36 years old.

"What a season! Genuinely enjoyed this team and what we did on the court & in the showers!" Colson wrote on Instagram. "I knew in the offseason that God was placing me where I needed to be to grow & learn some necessary lessons & that’s exactly what happened. And at the end of the day, I earned one more championship and one more ACL so life is good."

While it’s unclear what Colson’s future holds in the WNBA or with the Fever, she spoke fondly of her one season playing alongside Caitlin Clark during a recent interview with DraftKings Network.

“It was cool being on a team with her, getting to see her in another light,” Colson said. “It was good to see a lighter side of her. Unfortunately, when you’re injured, you have to adjust your mindset and get mentally tougher. I kept talking to her a lot about staying vocal. You don’t want to lose this time with your teammates just because you’re sidelined—you can still lead and build relationships. Don’t let it be a wasted season just because you can’t contribute physically. I think her desire to become a better leader is clear… but seeing her fun side—that was the most important part. I just kept telling her, more of that.”
