Fever Guard Lexie Hull's Perfect One-Word Reaction After Taking a Ball to the Head

Lexie Hull does not exactly qualify as a star for the Indiana Fever. There's no denying, however, that the 6-foot-1 guard has firmly established herself as a key part of the squad.

In 16 games played thus far, Hull has averaged 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.5 minutes per contest. She's also knocking down 1.4 triples per game on an incredibly efficient 50.0% clip.

Hull's contributions to the team go far beyond the box score, too. Caitlin Clark stated without hesitation that she considers Hull to be Indiana's best defender. The Fever superstar also believes that Hull, who's elevated her game this season, should be a frontrunner for the Most Improved Player award.

Another thing you can say about Hull is that she never takes things too seriously. She's a light-hearted individual who loves to have fun — sometimes, even if it comes at her own expense.

Hull took to Instagram on Sunday to post a video of herself getting hit on the head with a basketball during Indiana's 88-77 loss against the Golden State Valkyries on June 19.

The 25-year-old described the moment perfectly using just one word: "boink."

As she fought to secure a rebound down low, Hull somehow found herself getting hit by the ball on the head. It wasn't a soft bounce either, as Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton inadvertently launched the ball directly at Hull's head.

It seems that Hull found the moment to be funny, and she decided to include it in her latest highlight reel post, which is comprised of some of her favorite photos from the past week or so.

She may be laughing about it now, but that sure looked like a pretty solid hit to the head.
