The Indiana Fever played against the Atlanta Dream for the third time this season on Saturday. The team’s dynamic trio of Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston combined for 55 points, 15 rebounds and 16 assists. However, they couldn’t secure the win, losing 113-96 at State Farm Arena.

All five Dream starters scored in double digits, with Rhyne Howard leading the team with 24 points. She contributed four rebounds, three assists and four three-pointers. Allisha Gray, Naz Hillmon, Angel Reese and Jordin Canada added 22, 19, 18 and 12 points, respectively.

Indiana will return home and play its next three games at home. It will look to bounce back strong starting on Monday versus the Phoenix Mercury. The teams will meet again two days later at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Makayla Timpson posts block on Angel Reese on Instagram

Makayla Timpson was held scoreless on the night. She played only four minutes, registering one rebound and one block. However, her emphatic rejection of Reese made its rounds on social media.

The 23-year-old forward-center reposted the play on her Instagram story and added a flex emoji.

Reese posted her up and spun to her left for a hook shot. Timpson read Reese’s move well and timed her jump perfectly. She sent the ball back, with Mitchell securing the rebound.

Timpson averages 3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this season. While she only plays limited minutes off the bench, the Florida State product provides Indiana with hustle and impact plays.

The Fever and Dream will meet for the last time in the regular season on Aug. 16. Reese likely wants to return the favor and dominate again. She and her teammates lead the season series 2-1, but these two sides could match up in the playoffs depending on seeding.

Indiana upset Atlanta last year as the No. 6-seeded team without Clark and Sophie Cunningham.
