Fever Rule Out Player vs. Dream in Latest WNBA News

The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream are set to face off today in a highly anticipated WNBA preseason clash. Scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 3 p.m. ET, the game will take place at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia. This matchup will serve as the final warm-up for both squads before the regular season tips off on May 17, and fans are eager to get another look at Caitlin Clark in action.

Indiana is coming off a narrow 79-74 win over the Washington Mystics but will be missing one key piece this time. The team officially ruled out Damiris Dantas due to a left lower leg injury. On the other side, the Dream will be without Jordin Canada, who is dealing with a right leg issue.

After missing the May 3 game against the Mystics, Caitlin Clark sparked concerns with a minor leg issue. However, the star guard bounced back to play against the Brazilian National Team and looked sharp, dropping 16 points, including a deep 36-foot three-pointer.

The Fever did not list Clark in Friday’s injury report, signaling that she is good to go.

“I feel really good, honestly, and excited to get out there and play again tomorrow,” Clark told reporters. “Our medical staff has been really helpful.”

Today’s game carries extra weight, not just as a preseason finale but also because the Fever and Dream will meet twice more in May once the regular season begins.

With Clark drawing attention like no other rookie in recent memory, expectations are sky-high for her sophomore season. For fans eager to tune in, the game will air locally on PeachtreeTV and stream on WNBA League Pass, which is currently offering a free preview.
