Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham has been keeping busy amid the WNBA offseason. She is still rehabbing her knee injury, which has prevented her from engaging in intense basketball activities. The 29-year-old recently shared a video of herself taking some shots on the court, which means that she’s slowly getting back to full strength.

Cunningham also has a lot going on outside of basketball. She emerged as one of the WNBA's biggest stars this past season, which has resulted in multiple endorsement deals for the 6-foot-1 guard.

Cunningham recently flew to New York, and her actions during the trip have resulted in some unwanted consequences.

As a professional athlete, Cunningham knows how important it is to take care of her body. This becomes even more crucial now that she’s recovering from a major injury.

Cunningham took to social media on Friday to share a personal update following her trip to New York. As it turns out, she made some bad decisions about the food she ate.

"I've been doing so good not eating gluten," Cunningham said in a video posted on her Instagram stories. "My skin cleared up, no bloating.

"... Then I went up to New York. I pretty much ate everything in sight. Lots of gluten. Pretty simple behavior of my old self. And not saying that it is that, and also, not saying it's not that. But I started to bloat and breaking out.

“Just saying. Discipline. It's me. Discipline, discipline, discipline. Ha."

She emphasized her gluten theory with a blunt caption for her video: “It’s 100% THAT.”

In February, Cunningham revealed that she lost a considerable amount of weight during the offseason. While she’s listed as 165 lbs. on her official WNBA profile, the Fever star said that, at that time, she was down to 148.5 lbs.

Cunningham indicated that she wants to put on weight, which may have influenced her decision to eat “everything in sight” during her trip to New York. The former Missouri Tigers star, however, may have overindulged, resulting in some unwanted physical drawbacks.
