Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream is off to a hot start in the 2025 WNBA season. The Dream have won three of their first five games, including back-to-back victories over the weekend.

The 6-foot-2 guard has logged 30-plus minutes in each of those games. In a recent two-game stretch against the Indiana Fever, Howard averaged 22 points per game. During that series, she faced off against league stars like Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, as well as a familiar opponent in Lexie Hull.

Howard shared a series of action shots on social media Sunday evening, capturing moments from her strong start to the season. One image featured Hull on the ground in an awkward defensive stance. Howard’s caption read:

"No space for hate ‍♀️Ft. Lexie’s new defensive tactic "

Hull quickly responded with a clear message back:

"It’s a good one, I must say."

Both Howard and Hull played in the new unrivaled league. In the game, Howard was able to beat Hull by a score of 12-7.

Howard, the top overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft out of Kentucky, was a two-time SEC Player of the Year and the SEC Tournament MVP in 2022. She was named WNBA Rookie of the Year that same season and has earned All-Star selections in two of her first three years.

Hull, drafted sixth overall in 2022 after a standout career at Stanford, has appeared in four games for the Fever this season. She’s averaging 10 points in 26.3 minutes per game and has scored in double figures in each of her last two outings.

The Fever and Dream will meet again on Tuesday, June 10, in Atlanta. Their final regular-season clash is scheduled for Friday, July 11, in Indianapolis.
