Former Chicago Sky Star ‘Enjoyed Watching’ 10 Angel Reese Haters

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been dealing with a fair amount of criticism from WNBA fans because of some of her lackluster performances, but one member of the sports world is coming to her aid.

In a recent YouTube video from “House of Highlights,” sports content creator Mariah Rose defended the Sky forward by debating 10 Reese haters. Throughout the video, which lasted over an hour, Rose claimed, “Reese is being unfairly criticized for being a strong competitor.”

Her statement didn’t gain much support from the participants, but it did from Reese and one of her former All-Star teammates.

“Mariah Rose,” Reese commented. “Let me give you your 10ssss rn cause you ate. ALL OF THEM. .”

Meanwhile, former Sky guard Diamond DeShields wrote, “I’ve enjoyed this .”

Chicago drafted DeShields with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft. She spent four seasons with the Sky from 2018-21 until signing with the Phoenix Mercury in 2022. She then returned to Chicago in 2024 to play alongside Reese, who was in her rookie season.

Last season, DeShields averaged 4.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in 32 appearances. DeShields is a free agent after being released by the Connecticut Sun on May 14 before their season opener.

However, she became a WNBA All-Star in 2019 with the Sky by averaging 16.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game within 34 games played. DeShields also helped the Sky win a championship in 2021 by defeating the Mercury. She averaged 5.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game throughout the 2021 postseason.
