Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark Compared to Basketball Great Ahead of 2024 Campaign

After Clark dominated the competition in her four-year stay in Iowa City, fans are in full belief that Clark has the potential to be as impactful to the women’s game as Michael Jordan did for the Chicago Bulls and the NBA.

“Very few athletes can fundamentally change a sport — Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, etc. Caitlin Clark may be one of them,” one user on X wrote.

“The (WNBA) has never seen a draw like Caitlin Clark, I need her to get that Michael Jordan pay bump when her next contract is up,” wrote another.

“Caitlin Clark should be viewed the way Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods were viewed. The greats of all time,” Fox Sports’ Craig Carton said last week.

Fans who aren’t completely on the Caitlin hype train would ask these fans to calm down. Clark will be playing against pros this time, and the speed of the game between college and pros also apply to women’s basketball.

However, it’s been clear that Caitlin Clark is way above the WNCAA for a long time. Clark’s career averages of 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.2 assists on 46.2% shooting and 37.7% from distance makes her one of the most outstanding college hoopers ever.

While expecting her to become MJ in her first WNBA campaign with the Fever is far-fetched, the potential for her to reach those heights is there.
