Indiana Fever Player’s Injury Status Changes on Saturday

The Indiana Fever (21-18) have found themselves on a two-game winning streak as they enter the final stretch of the 2025 WNBA regular season. While the Fever sit in sixth place in the WNBA standings, closing in on a spot in the playoffs, they find themselves in an injury crisis. Caitlin Clark has missed 27 games this season, including the Commissioner's Cup final, and has been on the bench for the last 17 with a groin injury.

Guards Sophie Cunningham (knee), Sydney Colson (knee) and Aari McDonald (foot) all suffered season-ending injuries as well, forcing Indiana to bring in numerous free agents. Even forward Chloe Bibby, who also joined the Fever midseason, had been out for three games due to a knee injury of her own.

Following her absence, Bibby was ruled available for the first time during Friday's 76-75 win over the Los Angeles Sparks. However, the former Maryland star didn't see any action with former Damiris Dantas and Brianna Turner taking up the bench minutes.

On Saturday, IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson reported that Bibby, after being available one day before, was downgraded to questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Golden State Valkyries as she continues to deal with a left knee injury. Clark will remain out, missing her 18th straight.

"Game status report for Fever’s game tomorrow against the Valkyries now includes Chloe Bibby again," Peterson wrote on X. "After missing three games then being available (but not playing) against Los Angeles, she’s questionable with the same left knee injury. Caitlin Clark remains out."

Bibby has been a nice addition for the Fever's frontcourt, especially with DeWanna Bonner's departure earlier this season. In nine games off the bench, Bibby is averaging 3.9 points on 40.5% shooting, 1.2 rebounds and 0.6 steals. She has yet to play a game with Clark, however.

The Fever continue their three-game West Coast road trip Sunday with an 8:30 p.m. ET tipoff against the Valkyries.
