Justine Pissott made her Indiana Fever debut in the team’s first game of the preseason. The 22-year-old rookie came off the bench to help lead Indiana to a 109-91 victory over the New York Liberty. Pissott finished with eight points, one rebound, an assist and two triples in 10 minutes of action.

The former Vanderbilt Commodores star, however, was forced to sit out the final two games of the preseason due to injury.

The silver lining is that the injury does not seem too serious. Fever head coach Stephanie White said on Saturday that they expect Pissott to return to the court for practice “in a week or so.”

Pissott took to social media on Monday to share an update on her transition into the WNBA. The 6-foot-4 guard forward posted a collection of photos from her time with the Fever over the past three weeks.

“grounded. ” Pissott captioned her post.

Pissott’s Fever teammates quickly rallied around the injured rookie. They showed their support by cheering her on in the comments section.

“My girl!!!! ” wrote Lexie Hull.

“Let’s goooo sistaaaaa” reacted Aliyah Boston.

“Shoot that thanggggg,” said Sophie Cunningham.

“” posted fellow rookie Raven Johnson.

“JP❤️” Makayla Timpson wrote.

“Loveee” said Megan McConnell.

“yeaaa rook ❤️‍” The Fever commented.

Pissott is coming off a memorable senior year with Vanderbilt. She played 34 games in her fourth and final college season. The 25th overall pick of the 2026 WNBA Draft produced averages of 11.1 points on 43.7% shooting, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 triples in 29.5 minutes per contest.

Once healthy, Pissott will fight for her place in the Fever’s frontcourt rotation, which will be populated by the likes of free agent recruits Monique Billings and Myisha Hines-Allen.
