Sophie Cunningham grabbed headlines yet again on Sunday. This time around, it was because of her excellent performance in the Indiana Fever's hard-fought 78-74 win over the Seattle Storm.

Thanks in part to Cunningham's strong play, the Fever were able to secure their fifth straight win and improve to 17-12 on the season.

Sophie Cunningham Goes Off for Fever

Cunningham came out to play against the Storm, scoring a season-high 17 points on a highly efficient 5-of-6 shooting clip. The 6-foot-1 guard made four triples and added five rebounds and two assists in what was arguably her best performance in a Fever uniform.

Cunningham celebrated the win by taking to Instagram to make a new post. The 28-year-old shared some of her favorite photos and videos from the past couple of games, which included her sporty outfit for Sunday’s game.

“vibes are high,” she wrote.

Fever Players Come Out to Support Cunningham

Cunningham's latest post drew all sorts of reactions from the fans. Her teammates also rallied behind her by expressing their support in the comments section.

“Helllll yeahh big soph” Aliyah Boston wrote.

"" posted Natasha Howard.

"Linda❤" Damiris Dantas commented.

"Stop all that damn giggling," reacted Sydney Colson.

Caitlin Clark also showed her support by liking Cunningham's post. So did Lexie Hull and Aari McDonald. Notably, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum also gave Cunningham's post a like.

Cunningham Is on a Heater

Cunningham certainly came up big for the Fever in this one as she kept her hot streak rolling. After Sunday’s outing, the former Missouri standout has now scored in double figures in eight out of the last 10 games.

Cunningham will now be looking to keep her foot on the gas in Indiana’s next game, which comes in the form of another road matchup on Tuesday. The Fever head out to California to face the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena, which will give Cunningham the opportunity to make even more noise.

Caitlin Clark does not have a timetable for her return from a re-aggravated groin injury, and it seems likely that she will sit out for an eighth straight game on Tuesday. Cunningham has started throughout Clark’s injury absence, and it appears that this will be the case again against the Sparks.
