In their 13th game of the WNBA season, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever faced another tough test, taking on reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.
The Fever have been relatively inconsistent to begin the new season, falling to 6-6 after Thursday's loss to the Golden State Valkyries. Clark was out with an injury for five of those games. The Aces, on the other hand, are having similar issues, falling to 5-7 and losing five of their last six.
With just over 3:30 remaining in the second, Clark had a 1-on-1 situation against Wilson with the Fever holding a seven-point lead. The former Iowa star took a few dribbles before pulling up from 25 feet out, draining a 3-pointer in Wilson's face.
The Fever reacted to the play by posting the highlight on X with the caption: "Caitlin Clark from DEEP‼️."

"Let her shoot!!" added another.
"BANG BANG," wrote a third.
"OVER THE MVP," commented a fourth.
"Imagine she stopped shooting and we didn’t get this ," added a fifth.
"We all needed this," posted a sixth.
Clark and Wilson have become two of the top players in the league, both making the All-WNBA first team in 2024. This year, prior to Sunday's game, Clark was averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists. Wilson, on the other hand, is posting 20.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
The Fever will complete their West Coast trip on Tuesday when they face the Seattle Storm.
