The Indiana Fever are facing a potential playoff sweep for the second straight year. However, the Caitlin Clark-less squad is not giving up just yet.
Indiana lost Game 1 of their best-of-three, first-round playoff series against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, leaving them one loss away from getting eliminated early once again. For context, the Fever also lost to the Connecticut Sun 2-0 in the opening round of the 2024 postseason.
The good news for Stephanie White's squad is that they will be playing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 2. It's the first time since 2016 that the team will be playing a playoff game at home.
Last season, the Fever weren't able to play a home game because of the 2-1 format in the first round of the playoffs. This 2025, the WNBA changed it to a 1-1-1 format so the lower-seeded teams can also host a postseason matchup.
As they face a do-or-die situation, the Fever made sure to motivate their players with a short but firm message on Monday.
"time to even the series," the Fever wrote, along with a hype video.

Game 2 of the Fever-Dream series is scheduled for Thursday. Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 27 points in Game 1, is expected to anchor the Indiana offense once again as they look to extend the series.
Against a Dream squad that features All-Star players like Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray, Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones, the Fever will need Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull, Odyssey Sims and Natasha Howard to step up in a big way.
