Indiana Fever Star Aliyah Boston Makes Strong Statement on Monday

Aliyah Boston has had yet another successful season with the Indiana Fever.

During her third season with the Fever, Boston was announced as a WNBA All-Star Game starter. The news came soon after Caitlin Clark was named a captain at the All-Star game.

On Monday, just before the Fever announced the news about Boston, the Fever forward spoke on the upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Lynx.

The Fever will be playing the Lynx for the WNBA's Commissioner's Cup Championship.

As previously announced by the WNBA, each player on the winning team will earn a $30,000 bonus. Each player on the losing team will earn $10,000 and an additional $5,000 in crypto.

"It's super important, obviously to see where we matchup against Minnesota because obviously they're a great team and there's also money on the line, so making sure that you want to leave with the bag," Boston said.

When asked if she's thought about the prize pool, Boston gave a definitive answer on the Indiana Fever's motivation.

"That's the goal," Boston said. "When there's money on the line, what else are you looking at."

The Indiana Fever will play the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.

Aliyah Boston will look to lead the Fever as Caitlin Clark heads into the game as questionable. She's been dealing with a groin injury that's kept her sidelined over the past two games.

During her second season with the Fever, Clark has posted 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game.

Boston has averaged 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game during her third season with the Fever.
