Kelsey Mitchell struggled with her shot for a second straight game for the Indiana Fever. In Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night, the three-time All-Star went just 8-of-26 from the field and 3-of-11 from deep. Mitchell still scored a team-high 21 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Fever, who are now down 2-1 in the series after their 84-72 loss in Game 3.

At one point in the game, the 5-foot-8 guard was seen shaking her hand as if she were in a bit of pain. Mitchell addressed the issue during the postgame press conference. When asked if she was cramping up or if there was something else going on with her hand, the 29-year-old was quick to shut down any fear of an injury.

"No, just missing (shots)," she said. "It's nothing. I mean, I think at that time I think somebody hit my hand but no. Just a bad day.”

The reporter followed up by asking if frustration had led to her reacting the way she did, which Mitchell again denied.

"No, just a bad day," she reiterated.

It wasn’t a good outing for the Fever all around, with the team collectively shooting 35.6% overall and 30.4% from the field. They also came up short defensively, allowing the Aces to make 50.8% of their shots.

That’s now two straight losses for Indiana in this series as they face the prospect of elimination in Game 4 on Sunday. That will be a must-win game for Mitchell and Co. because a loss will mark the end of what has been an eventful season for the Fever.
