Lexie Hull stepped up big time for the Indiana Fever during the 2025 season, recording career highs across the board as the team endured injuries to key players such as Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson, among others.
The 26-year-old guard averaged 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals while playing in all 44 games (starting 30) for the team. She was also a pivotal part of Indiana's run to the Commissioner's Cup championship.
Hull certainly went all-out for the Fever. As further proof of that, there was even a point during the campaign when she had a knot on her forehead and two black eyes. The veteran sharpshooter sustained the injury after colliding with Seattle Storm forward Gabby Williams during a game in August.

Now, during an interview with Glamour, Hull talked about the black eyes she got once again and highlighted how they didn't really bother her.
"I keep telling people I looked worse than I felt," Hull shared, adding that the issue would never have prevented her from suiting up in a game.
"I have played through a lot worse than that, so I don't think I would've taken the game off even if we had a fully healthy team. I think I'd still want to be like, 'Put me out there.'"

For what it's worth, any other player would have sat out a game or two to fully recover from such an injury instead of risking aggravating it, especially in a highly physical league like the WNBA. That being said, it's clear that Hull's tenacity is just on another level.
Hull is a restricted free agent this offseason, but it's hard to see the Fever not matching any offer she gets, considering how impactful she is for the team.
