The 2025 WNBA season has been a rollercoaster so far for the Indiana Fever. Sitting at 2-2, the team is coming off a tough 90-88 home loss on Saturday against the defending champion New York Liberty.
Despite the loss, team morale appears to be high. While rookie sensation Caitlin Clark continues to dominate headlines, other players are stepping up to share the load.
One standout has been Aliyah Boston, who is off to a fantastic start in her second WNBA season.
On Sunday, Boston shared a post on Instagram showing her and teammate Mikayla Timpson at Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. Her caption was short and sweet:

Boston is averaging 18.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game this season. Her best performance so far came in Saturday’s loss, where she poured in 27 points and grabbed 13 boards. For her career, she’s averaging 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
After leading South Carolina to a national championship in 2022, Boston’s collegiate career ended in the 2023 Final Four with a narrow 77-73 loss to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes. She was selected first overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft and made an immediate impact, earning WNBA Rookie of the Year honors. Boston was also named a WNBA All-Star in both of her first two seasons.
Mikayla Timpson, Boston’s companion at the Pacers game, is a rookie out of Florida State. The Fever selected her in the second round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. Though she has just played three minutes this season, she’s soaking up the experience alongside veterans like Boston.
Indiana’s next matchup is on the road against the Washington Mystics this Wednesday. As the season continues to unfold, the Fever will look to build chemistry and climb the standings behind stars like Boston and Clark.
