Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark certainly grew close during their first season together with the Indiana Fever.

Cunningham, who averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steal per game in 2025, became a fan-favorite in Indiana after she avenged Clark against Jacy Sheldon during a game against the Connecticut Sun in June.

The 29-year-old guard developed a reputation as the Fever's enforcer as a result, earning her a wave of new followers and supporters in the process.

Clark and Cunningham's friendship only strengthened after that. In fact, during the recent pro-am golf event that precedes THE ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club, Cunningham served as one of Clark's caddies, along with Lexie Hull.

That being said, with her experience with Clark and knowing the Fever guard's antics, Cunningham recently admitted that the former Iowa Hawkeyes star is the last person she would want to handle her socials.

"1000% Caitlin. A 1000%," Cunningham answered when asked the question, per Front Office Sports. "She is a [expletive] starter, and so she would definitely, you know, start some stuff on there."

Clark and Cunningham often exchange lighthearted banter on social media, so it's not a surprise why the WNBA veteran doesn't want her All-Star teammate anywhere close to her social media accounts.

For instance, back in August, Cunningham posted a video of herself and Hull wearing swimsuits. She then wrote a pitch for bikini brands to sponsor them, saying, "We are off to our game tonight. Convince us there’s a swimsuit brand that wants to partner with two Indiana Fever mermaids."

Clark, for her part, jokingly tried to ruin her teammates' pitch and asked swimsuit brands to "plz comment ‘focus on basketball.'"

It remains to be seen how Clark will respond to Cunningham's latest comments, but given how active she is on social media, it shouldn't be long until she brings it up.
