Is Caitlin Clark Playing in the WNBA Cup Championship?

The Indiana Fever secured a ticket to the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final after going 4-1 against their Eastern Conference opponents. They edged out the New York Liberty, who also finished with a 4-1 record but lost the tiebreaker due to their defeat against Indiana in Cup play.

Stephanie White's team is now set to face the Minnesota Lynx in the final on Tuesday. Led by Napheesa Collier, the Minneapolis franchise finished with a 5-1 record in the Western Conference for the tournament.

Ahead of the championship game, however, Fever fans are asking: Is Caitlin Clark playing against the Lynx?

What injury does Caitlin Clark have?

Clark has missed the Fever's last two games due to a left groin injury.

According to White, she found out about the All-Star guard's injury on Wednesday — just prior to their game against the Los Angeles Sparks — after Clark underwent an MRI, per ESPN.

Ever since then, Clark has been listed as day-to-day, with the Fever being cautious of her health condition.

It is the second injury that has forced Clark to miss games this season. Earlier in the campaign, she was out for five straight contests due to a quad issue.

Is Caitlin Clark playing for the Fever against the Lynx?

On Monday, the Fever listed Clark as "questionable" for the WNBA Commissioner's Cup championship against the Minnesota Lynx. It's a major upgrade for the 23-year-old playmaker after her recent absences.

Nonetheless, in another update on the WNBA's player news page, the league stated that Clark is "at risk" of missing a third straight game.

As for the question of whether Clark is playing for the Fever against the Lynx on Tuesday, the answer is maybe.
