Caitlin Clark’s name has been mentioned everywhere — from highlight reels to heated debates. But now, she’s officially crossed over into hip-hop thanks to LSU star and rapper Flau’Jae Johnson.
With Johnson entering her final year with the LSU Tigers, she’s decided to leave her mark in more ways than one. In her latest song “Help Me,” she name-drops none other than the Indiana Fever rookie — a nod to the on-court battles and mutual respect built over their college careers.
Speaking to USA Today’s Meghan Hall, Clark shared how she felt about being featured in the track — and it turns out, she’d been in on the surprise for a while.
“It was awesome,” Clark said. “Her music is really great. She’s so talented, and I’ve honestly been a really big fan of hers since we played them at LSU.”
“She told me a while back, actually, that she was putting me in a song,” Clark added. “So, I’ve kind of been waiting for it. She wasn’t lying. She really was actually putting me in a song. Yeah, she’s incredible. That was fun to see.”
The gesture goes beyond basketball — it speaks to the competitive yet respectful bond between two of women’s college basketball’s brightest stars. Clark and Johnson faced off multiple times during their NCAA careers, helping elevate the sport’s visibility along the way.
Now, Johnson is gearing up for her final run with LSU after a stellar season where she averaged 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, helping lead the Tigers to the Elite Eight.
On the court, Caitlin Clark ’s sophomore WNBA season is already making headlines. After putting up a 20-point triple-double in the Fever’s opener against the Chicago Sky, she followed it up with a 27-point, 11-assist effort in a nail-biter against the Atlanta Dream.
Despite Indiana falling 88-87, Caitlin Clark etched her name into the record books once again. She now ties Courtney Vandersloot for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history. The kicker? Vandersloot did it in 430 games. Clark? Just 42.
The Fever may be 1-1, but with CC at the helm, history is being made — and fans are witnessing the rise of something special.
