The Chicago Sky lost their eighth game of the season 79-72 to the Washington Mystics on Wednesday at home inside the Wintrust Arena.

Even though her team came up short, forward Angel Reese put up a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, which gained her some praise from a few podcasters.

“The Sky [are] getting better,” “Club 520 Podcast” host DJ Wells said to co-hosts B Hen and former player Jeff Teague. “They only have three wins so far, but they are getting a lot more production than they had been.”

He continued, “Shoutout, Angel Reese. She’s been consecutively putting it together, and she’s starting to figure it out.”

However, the Sky struggled to manage their turnovers and lost as a result. Chicago ended the game with 22 turnovers compared to the Mystics' 16. Seven of those turnovers came from Reese, which Teague brought up.

“She got to bring some of those turnovers down,” he said. “I was watching some of her games, and if she brought the turnovers down, she'd be alright.”

Before Tuesday’s defeat, Reese had been managing the number of turnovers she would end the game with. She only had two turnovers during the Sky’s 78-66 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday.

Furthermore, by the end of an 88-70 loss to the Atlanta Dream on June 13, Reese only had three turnovers, showing her desire to work on the issue.

However, she will need to continue doing so heading into Chicago’s next home game inside Wintrust Arena against the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
