Jemele Hill Takes Side In Caitlin Clark, Brittney Griner Drama

The latest controversy in the WNBA involves two of the game's biggest names, Caitlin Clark and Brittney Griner.

Clark and Griner squared off twice this week. The Atlanta Dream won the opening matchup against the Indiana Fever due to a 21-point performance from Griner. Despite falling short in that game, Clark broke the WNBA record for most games with at least 25 points and 10 assists.

During the rematch on Thursday night, the Fever defeated the Dream on the road. It was a rough outing for Griner, who was in foul trouble all game.

Griner was so frustrated that she was seen yelling on Atlanta's bench. A video of this brief moment went viral on social media strictly because fans accused her of dissing Clark.

Some people, including Riley Gaines, are convinced Griner called Clark a "trash white girl" towards the end of the game.

Hill, however, doesn't see it that way at all.

Hill pointed out that Natasha Howard was at the free throw line when Griner complained about a foul call. It's hard to imagine Griner would be mad at Clark when she wasn't even the one benefiting from the officiating crew's whistle.

"The foul call made on her had nothing to do with Caitlin Clark. It was because she fouled Natasha Howard," Hill wrote on social media. "She clearly says 'trash' and '[expletive ]WACK CALL.' But carry on with your grifting."

You can be the judge:

Judging by the replies, Hill's followers are torn on this video.

"I can't believe I have to agree with Jemele. Oh well," one person replied.

"I hope you're better at sports analysis than lip reading," another person said.

There are people calling for the WNBA to investigate Griner. As of now, that seems incredibly unlikely.

Do you think Griner took a jab at Clark?
