Kamilla Cardoso Didn’t Add a Word After Angel Reese Makes All-Star Team

The Chicago Sky entered Sunday's matchup with the Minnesota Lynx holding one of the WNBA's worst records at 5-11 overall.

Despite this, Angel Reese has further solidified herself as one of the league's premier rebounders.

In her second season in Chicago, she came into Sunday averaging 12.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals across 16 games, leading the league in rebounding.

More impressively, Reese has recorded four consecutive games this season with at least 15 rebounds, a feat no other player in history has matched.

On Sunday, the WNBA officially announced Reese as a reserve for the 2025 AT&T All‑Star Game in Indianapolis, marking her second straight All‑Star nod.

Shortly after the announcement, her Sky teammate Kamilla Cardoso reshared Chicago’s Instagram post celebrating Reese’s selection, adding no caption of her own.

Cardoso has been out of the Sky lineup since June 24 as she represents Brazil at the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup in Chile.

In the tournament, she's averaged 14.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.2 steals across the first six games, leading all players in efficiency (25.2 EFFPG).

This season with the Sky, Cardoso has picked up where she left off a year ago, averaging 12.7 points (career-high), 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.8 blocks in 14 games, shooting a team-best 56.1% from the field.

Reese’s All‑Star nod provides a clear bright spot and validation for the Sky’s long‑term core, despite their losing record.

As they head to Indianapolis for the festivities on July 19, Chicago’s focus will shift back to closing the gap in the competitive Eastern Conference.
