With Caitlin Clark out with a right groin injury, the Indiana Fever got a historic performance from other All-Star guard in a 93-78 win over the Chicago Sky.

Kelsey Mitchell scored a season-high 35 points in 30 minutes, shooting 12-for-19 from the field and 7-for-10 from three. It was the ninth game of her WNBA career with 30-plus points, but that was not all.

Kelsey Mitchell's historic performance vs. Chicago Sky

Mitchell's complete stat line of 35 points, six assists, seven made three-pointers and three steals made her the first player in WNBA history to put up those numbers in a single game, according to StatMuse.

"I love to win," Mitchell told ESPN on ABC sideline reporter Holly Rowe after the game. "I want to do right by myself and by the team and by everything I represent."

Mitchell is no stranger to making history. She ranks No. 1 in Indiana Fever franchise history in points per game (17.1) and three-point field goals made (613).

This year, she was selected to her third-straight WNBA All-Star Game, boasting a career-high scoring average of 19.6 points per game.

Mitchell leading the Fever without Caitlin Clark

The Fever have needed every ounce of the 29-year-old's experience and scoring punch as injuries have struck Stephanie White's backcourt.

Clark has missed 13 games this season with multiple injuries, but several big performances from Mitchell have helped Indiana to a 6-7 record in those 13 games. Mitchell has led Indiana in scoring in each of the last nine games.

There is no timetable for Clark's return at the moment, so Mitchell will need to continue her hot scoring streak when the Fever return to action against the Phoenix Mercury at home on Wednesday.
