Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is arguably the best shooter in the WNBA. She's known for her logo threes and shot 34.4% from behind the arc during her rookie season.

However, she’s seen a significant drop-off lately. Over her last three games, Clark has gone just 1-of-23 from three.

She’s not the only one who’s been struggling, though. Entering Friday night’s games, New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu was 3-of-19 over her last three games, Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers was 2-of-17 in her last five, Connecticut Sun guard Marina Mabrey was 2-of-17 in her last three, and Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum was 4-of-22 in her last four, with others facing similar slumps.

Plum came across an Instagram post by @trysta_krick, who pointed out these struggles. Plum headed to the comments to share her reasoning for it.

"Cause we’re tired ," she said.

This isn't the only occasion this season when a WNBA player has spoken out about being tired. Earlier this month, Liberty star Natasha Cloud called on WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert to extend the season.

"Girl, Cathy [Engelbert] needs to extend the season…if you want the best product on the floor, we need proper time to rest and recover," Cloud said.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Mercury star Satou Sabally was also vocal about it.

“Cathy [Engelbert] added a lot of games," Sabally said. "And us as players, recovery is so important. We put our bodies on the line every single time. We had nine games in 18 days. It’s not really responsible for a commissioner.”

Players will have the opportunity to make changes later this year, as the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the league and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) is set to expire on Oct. 21, 2025.
