The early 2025 WNBA season has seen a plethora of monster offensive individual performances. Triple-doubles, double-doubles, and offensive outbursts are gracing WNBA courts on a nightly basis.
Sunday was no different, as four double-doubles were posted to go along with four, 20-point performances across a four-game slate.
Many of these early season performances are coming from players finding their rhythm in their new homes. There was a lot of player movement this offseason, from trades to free agent signings, to draft picks.
One of the most intriguing moves from this past offseason was the trade of Kelsey Plum from the Las Vegas Aces to the Los Angeles Sparks.
Plum, the WNBA champion, point guard, was somewhat surprisingly involved in the three-team trade this past January that sent Jewell Lloyd from the Seattle Storm to the Aces.
The early season returns on Plum are extremely high for the Sparks. Through five games, Plum is leading the WNBA in a crucial statistic. Plum has hit 19 3-pointers this season, four more than the player in second place (Allisha Gray, 15).

Plum jumped ahead of Gray, grabbing the league lead in made 3-pointers after a monster performance against the Chicago Sky. On Sunday, Plum drained six 3-pointers to go along with 28 points, eight assists, and two rebounds.
The Sparks are now 2-3 on the season after securing a 91-78 win over the Sky.
With Plum averaging 3.8 made 3-pointers per game, she is on pace to hit 167 3-pointers this season. This would break the record for most made 3-pointers in a season, currently held by Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty (128).
Plum also currently ranks second in points per game at 24.8, behind only Napheesa Collier (29.5).
