Kelsey Plum is officially a sneaker-free agent. The superstar parted ways with Under Armour this week. This move follows months of speculation after Plum wore Adidas during the Unrivaled season.
As Kelsey Plum’s deal was set to run into 2026, the 31-year-old and Under Armour have now officially parted ways after four years.
Front Office Sports reported on X, “New: Kelsey Plum is no longer with Under Armour, the brand tells FOS. Plum signed with Under Armour in 2022, and her deal was set to expire this year. The news comes months after UA cut ties with Steph Curry.”

Plum signed with Under Armour in 2022 and her deal was set to expire this year. The news comes months after UA cut ties with Steph Curry.
For the record, even though Kelsey Plum is no longer with them, Under Armour still has several WNBA players on its roster, including Marina Mabrey, Diamond Miller, Laeticia Amihere, and Nika Mühl.
“We appreciate the partnership we’ve had with Kelsey and everything she’s contributed,” an Under Armour spokesperson told Front Office Sports in a statement, adding, “As we sharpen our focus and build for what’s next, we’re moving in different directions. We wish her the best.”
Plum was a key face of Under Armour’s basketball campaigns since signing in 2022.
Plum never got a signature shoe, but she did work with the Maryland-based brand to make some really cool basketball shoes and casual sneakers just for players.
She also ran the “Dawg Class,” a women’s basketball camp that Plum started and Under Armour paid for.
However, even after starting April strong with a one-year $999,999 deal to lead the Los Angeles Sparks, the timing of this split adds another layer to the story.
Kelsey Plum’s split from Under Armour comes just months after Stephen Curry also parted ways with the brand in November 2025 after 12 years.
Stephen Curry had his own sub-brand, Curry Brand, and according to Front Office Sports, he kept all his intellectual property after the split.
Since the release of the Curry 13s in February 2026, he has become a sneaker free agent and has been seen wearing brands like Nike, Adidas, and Anta.
At the same time, De’Aaron Fox, the first athlete signed to Curry Brand, told FOS in February that he is still under contract with Under Armour.
“Technically, I’m still an Under Armour athlete, so we’re going through that,” Fox said in Los Angeles. “But it was a lot was going on. It’s funny, it was actually happening while [the Warriors] were in San Antonio. We’re still going through some stuff.”
For now, Kelsey Plum and Stephen Curry are in a similar spot with their shoe deals, but on the court, Plum is gearing up for the WNBA season with the Los Angeles Sparks, while Curry is enjoying the offseason after the Golden State Warriors’ play-in exit.
