Since the start of the WNBA season, there have been rumors floating around Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
Stephanie White's team has gotten off to a somewhat disappointing start to the season, and a heated sideline altercation with the star point guard fueled even more speculation.
Clark has since denied any feud with her head coach, but the story simply won't go away.
Considering that, Los Angeles Lakers legend Mychal Thompson urged the Los Angeles Sparks to pursue her, as he's hearing some interesting trade rumors around Clark.
"I’m hearing from a reliable source the Fever dont want Caitlin no more…SPARKS…Go get her…NOW!!!" Thompson wrote on X.
Clark is expected to be one of the faces of women's basketball for years to come, but the league has done a questionable job of promoting her.
Granted, the Fever have all their games on national television, but the narrative surrounding the Iowa legend has always left plenty to be desired.
The Chicago Sky already moved on from fellow classmate Angel Reese, who's now dominating the glass for the Atlanta Dream.
So, as wild as that would be, it's definitely not unprecedented. And if that's the case, the Sparks should definitely be all over her.
Clark looks like a generational talent, and her media pull is second to none in women's basketball.
Whether the Fever will trade her remains to be seen, but there should be no shortage of potential suitors if that's the case.
