Lexie Hull was not on the floor for the Indiana Fever for Friday’s matchup against the New York Liberty . The Fever kicked off their preseason with a road game against Breanna Stewart and Co., which resulted in a lopsided win for Indiana.
The Fever cruised to a 109-91 victory despite missing some of their key players. Aliyah Boston sat out as part of her injury recovery. Hull, on the other hand, was dealing with tightness in her left hamstring.
Neither of the two injuries is considered serious. Hull, in particular, was given the night off as a precaution. She could now make her preseason debut on Thursday against the Dallas Wings.
Hull has been busy in the offseason. She entered free agency but ultimately decided to remain in Indiana. The 6-foot guard signed a two-year, $1.6 million contract that will keep her with the Fever through 2027.
Hull has also been making moves off the court. She recently launched her own makeup brand, FORTA Cosmetics, with Stanford roommate and good friend Sarah Guller.
More news about Hull was announced on Sunday. She has a new partnership with hair accessory brand TELETIES.
“You guessed it! We have teamed up with WNBA superstar Lexie Hull to create her own game-changing TELETIES collection!” the brand posted on Instagram on Sunday.
According to the announcement, Hull’s collection will drop on Monday.
As for her basketball, Hull is now entering her fifth season in the WNBA. She’s played her entire career with the Fever, producing averages of 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 21.0 minutes per contest. Hull is widely regarded as one of the best defenders on the roster.
The Fever now have less than two weeks to prepare for the new WNBA season. Their first game is on May 9 against the Wings.
