Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull is celebrating the rapid growth of women’s sports, calling the expansion “insane” and expressing excitement about its future.
As part of Women’s History Month, the Fever shared a video on Instagram featuring Hull with teammates Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark. The players reflected on the rise of women’s sports and the increasing support from fans worldwide.
“I think the best part about women’s sports and where it’s at now is that we’re limitless, and we can only flourish,” the Fever captioned.
Hull, in particular, emphasized the momentum building around women’s athletics.
“I’m so excited about the future of women’s sports because it’s growing at such an insane rate,” she said. “It’s so exciting that people are finally talking about it, watching it, supporting it. And right now, I mean, I’m just happy to be part of it.”
Meanwhile, Clark emphasized the increase in viewership and fan engagement. She noted that women’s basketball is gaining recognition at all levels, from ticket sales to national television coverage.
Hull’s appreciation for women’s sports extends beyond just basketball. She has been active in the growing Unrivaled league, where she competes for Rose BC. The league provides another platform for female athletes to showcase their talent outside the WNBA season.
Hull’s growing influence in women’s sports has also extended to her public appearances. In February, she gained attention for her bold pregame fashion choice, wearing a stylish outfit before an Unrivaled game.
Additionally, her participation in the league’s 1-on-1 tournament made headlines when she walked out to Boosie Badazz’s song “Set It Off.”
As Hull continues to build her career in the WNBA and beyond, her passion for growing women’s sports remains evident. Her message reflects the growing support and excitement surrounding female athletes, marking a new era for women's basketball.
