Los Angeles Sparks Receive Crucial Cameron Brink Update

Cameron Brink remains on the long road toward recovery. Ever since tearing her left ACL and meniscus during a game against the Connecticut Sun on June 18, 2024, the basketball world has searched for a timeline for her return to a basketball court.

As of Saturday, it appears that return is rapidly approaching. Brink, 23, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. While she only played in 15 games during her rookie season prior to her injury, she showed flashes of her potential while averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in 21.9 minutes per game.

While Brink was ruled out for Saturday's game against the New York Liberty, she reportedly spoke with Ben Pickman, who covers women's basketball for The Athletic, and provided a crucial update on her timeline for return to game action.

Reportedly, Brink said she has been cleared to return to game action, and it's only a matter of time before she returns to the Sparks lineup.

"It’s just getting reps at this point. Just getting back up to speed with everybody," Brink said.
