The Lynx face off against the Sparks this afternoon and have a bit of a rest advantage. The Lynx lost yesterday’s game to the Mercury and the Sparks have not played since last Saturday.

Regardless, the Lynx have been a dramatically better team than the Sparks this season. They are 17-3 with a +13 Net Rating compared to LA, who is 6-13 with a -6.2 Net Rating. The Lynx have held it down on both sides of the ball while the Sparks have never gotten into much of a rhythm despite bringing in Kelsey Plum this offseason.

One player who has dominated in this matchup is Napheesa Collier. While that’s easy to say for most matchups for the MVP favorite, she’s crushed here over the past few seasons. She has scored 22+ points in all 8 games against the Sparks since 2023. She’s averaging 22.3 ppg this season and this is a plus matchup.

The Sparks have gotten obliterated by forwards this season with Natasha Howard, Angel Reese and Nneka Ogwumike all soaring over their points prop just recently. I’ll grab over 21.5 points (-130 at DraftKings) and would play 22.5 as well.

The Sparks’ rest advantage may help them a bit in this spot and we have seen the line move in their direction after it opened at Lynx -9.5 as it’s now -7. If anything, this would help us avoid a blowout for our prop and if you wanted to add the Lynx ML to it for a SGP I don’t mind that either since her scoring jumps in their wins.
